Hello and Welcome!

I am a graduate from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences Mathematics and a single subject credential. Before completing these degrees, I studied American Sign Language Interpreting from San Diego Mesa College. I am a native San Diegan growing up in Poway, California and graduated from Poway High School. During my ASL Interpreting program I started working as a Special Education Technician for the San Diego Unified School District at Keiller Middle School. My work there fueled my passion for teaching and my love for mathematics. I’ve also had the opportunity to teach at Mission Bay High School, Health Sciences High & Middle College, Gompers Preparatory Academy and Torrey Pines High School. I have enjoyed traveling to different school learning to teach in different demographics. In my strive to become the best mathematics teacher, I pursued a five year fellowship with Math for America in 2009. We are dedicated to improving mathematics achievement in secondary schools throughout the San Diego County.

While teaching I have enjoyed getting involved with clubs and sports. At Torrey Pines I got invoved in coaching the boys volleyball team. We had a great season winning leauge (9-1) and competing in the CIF Champions up to the semi-finals. 0
